After finishing their homework, Manar and his brother liked to watch cartoons. Their favorite part was the commercials advertising toys and school supplies that weren’t common where they lived in the Middle East. They dreamed about having quality items like those, but that seemed out of reach until he and his brother each received an Operation Christmas Child shoebox gift while at church when Manar was 13.
